For 1 of the positions, they want to see added experience in Cloud (Azure or Amazon), structured, semi-structured, unstructured data environments, and Snowflake.
Job DescriptionKey components for successful candidates will be:
Enterprise Data Warehouse / EDW
ETL
SSIS
TSQL
Candidates will ideally have:
Data warehouse, Indexing, Performance Management, Stored Procedures
Large Data background with experience in performance tuning, load balancing, partition management, indexing strategies
Cube development and maintenance
Experience in a complex high-transaction environment
Ability to work across multiple lines of business
Work will be done primarily in the Microsoft Stack.
Pluses:
Alteryx, Tableau, C++, Java
Experience in moving from on-prem data environment to the cloud space and enterprise data platform
Any Cloud experience would be great (Azure or Amazon)
Snowflake
Semi-structured and unstructured data experience
Job Responsibilities:
Data Warehouse development
Work with the database administration, infrastructure, and security teams to develop architectures allowing for scalability and performance of the EDW platform.
Responsible for creation of complex data sets within an Enterprise Data Warehouse to meet growing customer demand.
Create complex data models – logical and physical - that meet demanding business requirements.
Responsible for translating functional requirements into technical requirements and solutions.
Execute and document Quality Assurance processes by developing use cases, test plans, and test scripts, coordinating testing activities, documenting results, and driving issue resolution throughout the testing process.
Requirements:
Experience in a complex Data Warehousing Environment building data warehouses and/or data marts
Database dimensional modeling and development
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts & technologies such as data marts, star schemas, facts, and dimensions
3 or more years data modeling within an EDW environment
Experience translating complex functional requirements into technical solutions
Experience with Microsoft database technologies, including MS SQL Server 2012/2008 (SQL Server 2016 a plus)
7 or more years experience with SQL Server Integration Services, or related ETL tools
Extensive knowledge of star schema data warehousing concepts and methodologies
Ability to tune complex SQL queries for maximum performance
Intimate understanding of cube development – multidimensional and tabular
Skilled in writing SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures; leveraging transactional databases, relational data marts, and data warehouses
