Oversee the A/R and A/P processesAssist with audits (internal, external and DCAA)Ensure that invoicing and receivables are done in a timely mannerCoordinate with the contracts department for contract compliancePerform corporate financial activities in monthly closing and producing monthly packages for reviewsCoordinate and provide regular updates to vendors, consultants, federal, state & local entitiesLead the preparation process of the annual operating budgetMentor junior staff as necessaryComplete ad hoc projects as assignedProvide monthly financial reports and updates to the CEO and Corporate LeadershipRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, a degree can be substituted in lieu of 4 years of additional experience in defense contractingMust have 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience, financial documentation preparation, and financial reporting at a corporate levelA minimum of 5 years working in an accounting role at a defense contractor is a mustThorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP and FARWell-versed with general ledger (GL) transactions and capital expenditures (Capex)US citizenship requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
