The Team

The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated and modern approach to marketing, with a deep understanding of how to build and engage audiences across all platforms.
The Role
The Marketing Director will report to the VP Marketing Strategy for TLC and ID. This strategic thinker will work closely with the VP in the ideation, strategy, and execution of all on and off-air campaigns. The candidate needs to have a strong knowledge of the media landscape, including trends in on-air, digital, social, print, and experiential marketing. They will be responsible for understanding research to inform consumer positioning, developing strong off-air media plans, identifying strategic partnerships, managing consumer events, and leading the teams behind the day-to-day management of these properties.
Responsibilities
Managing major campaigns and daily operations, including ideation, writing of briefs, and implementation of plans.
Collaborating closely with both on-air and off-air media teams to evaluate performance and create media plans.
Establishing close working relationships with other internal teams including programming, multi-platform, production, scheduling, research, and communications.
Working closely with the research team to understand TLC and ID audiences and their consumer behavior.
Providing innovative thinking to develop breakthrough campaigns that drive awareness and tune-in.
Creating and activating unique, strategic, and effective partnerships for marketing campaigns.
Managing a small team in day-to-day responsibilities and career growth.
Requirements
College degree, combined with 10+ years of marketing/advertising work experience in broadcast, cable network marketing, advertising agency, or brand management.
Demonstrated expertise with marketing concepts, creative development processes, and project management.
Experience managing a team and budgets.
Production management experience is a plus.
Superior organizational and leadership skills.
Direct experience in consumer discipline, consumer promotion, and the entertainment industry.
Proven experience in 360 marketing.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to formulate creative strategies and provide detailed follow-through on campaigns.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
