The Compounding Sales Director, Animal Health is responsible for leading a national team of Field Compounding Specialists & Key Account Managers to deliver against the company compounding sales goal. This role will work closely with leadership across the organization to drive collaboration among field sales, customer success, and pharmacy teams to provide education and information to our veterinary customers about the benefits of utilizing personalized, pet-friendly medication to provide improved experiences for pets, pet parents & the veterinary teams we serve.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop sales goals and an execution strategy to deliver on the revenue goals within the compounding business segment.Ability to provide monthly, quarterly & annual sales forecasts.Provide both in-person and virtual coaching to Compounding Specialists that motivates and provides professional development.Provide support with high potential customer opportunities as well as customer escalations as needed.Work closely with Zone and Regional Directors to ensure alignment & collaboration of sales teams and the delivery of mutual sales targets.Adjust and manage budgets based on territory performance.Collaborate with marketing, sales operations & pricing teams to communicate needed resources and market feedback that aligns to sales strategies.Ensure effective resource allocation to the team based on market, performance, and opportunity.Build an extensive understanding of the customer to ensure sales strategies align to the needs of our veterinary customer.Regularly communicate the success and opportunities of the team and the organization to create a culture of transparency and inclusiveness.Provide regular analysis of sales performance as well as risks and opportunities and regularly provide feedback on these business drivers & challenges.Performance Measurements

Lead a team of 12 Compound Specialists and 1 Key Account Manager.Ensures optimal performance through effective coaching, engagement & communication.Conduct bi-weekly team meetings and regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports.Conduct performance appraisals & performance improvement plans as required. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed.Sets individual goals and counsels on career development.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.10+ years sales experience.5+ years in sales management.Knowledge and/or experience in the compounding/pharmaceutical space highly preferred.Demonstrated track record in sales and/or marketing and an outstanding industry reputation.COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
