Nexstar’s market leading WBTW (CBS) and EBTW (Antenna TV) are looking for an experienced, driven sales professional to serve as Director of Sales for our media properties in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (DMA #100). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing initiatives to grow revenue on broadcast and digital platforms, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and understand how to mentor/coach a team.
WBTW serves eight northeastern South Carolina counties and two counties in North Carolina. A hyphenated market, WBTW’s main facility is in Myrtle Beach just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. The station also operates a secondary sales and news office in the heart of downtown Florence.
WBTW is the dominant news leader airing over 35 hours of #1 ranked local News, Sports and Weather, while also producing another 15 hours under a news share agreement with the local FOX affiliate.
Myrtle Beach is the heart of the Grand Strand – a 60-mile string of world famous beaches. Its warm subtropical climate, incredible beaches and celebrity-designed golf courses, make Myrtle Beach one of the major centers of tourism in the US. It’s also a great place to live. US News listed it as the #26 best place to live in the US, the #1 place to live in South Carolina, and the #1 Fast-Growing Places in the US in its 2020 survey.
Additional Job Description:
Create unique and customized media plans for high profile buyers leveraging Nexstar Digital’s full suite of products that can include but not limited to: OTT, Video, Social, Data, Addressable.Meet and exceed sales quota leveraging Nexstar’s growing suite of products.Ability to manage a client pipeline and project revenue utilizing a CRM.Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated track record of strategic sales and revenue growth in the digital video ecosystem.Communicate efficiently both externally and internally across multiple teams.Ability to credibly influence decision makers and develop tailored solutions.Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team-oriented collaborative fashion.Willingness to take on additional opportunities as company expands.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree10+ years experience in selling TV, Video and DigitalStrong attention to detail and an excellent team playerFamiliarity in using Microsoft Office suite of productsWilling to TravelExperience selling across multiple advertising products including OTT, display, video and data a plus.Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skillsSelf-starter capable of flourishing in high-growth environments
