Sr. IT Process Excellence Consultant – Six Sigma Black Belt – Technology Risk Management – Med Devices

Process Excellence Consultant must be certified Six Sigma Black Belt and familiar with Lean methodology and experienced in leading large scale projects working across multiple functional groups. Extensive business process improvement skills, and able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in statistics software and able to analyze large amounts of data. Must possess excellent verbal, written, persuasion and selling skills as well as strong presentation and leadership skills. Ability to work with senior management and with functional and site leaders to identify, develop and deploy process improvements. Develops and delivers quality and process improvement training modules. Coaches and mentors others leading improvement projects. Experience Level: Advanced degree in a related field is required; minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Formalize process alignment and operational capability between our organization (responsible for risk management governance and end to end risk management services) and a new business organization being stood up to provide risk management and remediation support specifically for medical device technologies.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the new group, educating and being clear about our (Technology Risk Management) organization’s roles and processes, and understanding how this new team will fit in with our charter, governance and risk management practices.

Document current and new processes, assessing and solutioning for gaps, defining and implementing process and system change requests.

Understand Technology Risk Management organization roles and processes (end to end Technology Risk and Controls Assessments; Scoping, planning, fieldwork, interviews and controls evidence gathering, draft and final Technology Risk report with findings and corrective actions) remediation and vulnerability management efforts to prioritize and reduce risk.

Assess and solution for gaps, Clinical Med Device Cybersecurity Technology Risk Management, remediation, and vulnerability management processes and system change requests to numerous platforms (Risk customer intake CRM, GRC risk and controls assessment, scanning vulnerability management tools and systems – Salesforce, Process Unity, JIRA, and/or Caseya tool sets).

Requirements

Leading a large scale project, working across multiple functional groups with considerable ambiguity.

Excellent documentation skills – Visio process flows, SOPs, business processes, requirements for change requests, meeting summaries, action plans (there is no admin support for this role).

Solid understanding of technology risk controls management lifecycle (scope, plan, fieldwork, report, etc.).

Proven Experience leading development of end-to-end technology risk management processes including, but not limited to, risk identification, controls assessment, findings remediation and vulnerability management.

Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required.

6+ years of experience in process improvement, process modernization, and project management.

PREFERRED Skills:

Able to develop, define and establish a framework and all associated documentation to manage and achieve the objectives of the program.

Coaching and guiding others through collaborative process development and improvement in a fast-paced changing environment with multiple moving parts.

Experience and/or working knowledge of Salesforce, Process Unity, JIRA, and/or Caseya tool sets.

Experience working IT projects for healthcare services, and more specifically related to medical devices in the clinical space.
