Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or a relevant advanced degree.Experience in manipulating data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language.Preferred qualifications:

Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.Experience in developing strategies in fast-paced competitive environments, with impeccable business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve the desired business outcome.Ability to take ownership, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.Devices and Services (D&S or DSPA) creates radically helpful experiences for users by combining the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. The D&S Central Financial Planning and Analysis team guides the Product Area towards profitability through financial and economic analysis and recommendations that enable better decision making.The Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business, providing in-depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products.Responsibilities

Manage and drive efficiency in core Design finance processes including spend management, agreement review, headcount allocation, and leadership reporting.Lead Design annual and long-range financial planning, collaborating with business partners across multiple teams to influence Design resourcing over the short and long-term horizons.Lead DSPA’s intra-Product Area allocation framework, and educate product finance stakeholders on influenceable HC and opex drivers on their Profit and Loss.Partner with D&S and corporate finance teams on insight identification and assessment of external allocations (REWS, TI, POps, etc.), including strategies to sustainably manage allocation growth.Provide support for other D&S horizontal finance initiatives across all BUs, including annual and long-range planning, headcount and workforce planning, payroll/SBC analytics, and other strategic projects.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
