Director of Sales
with the
Global Partnership Solutions (GPS)
Department. This position will be responsible for overseeing the generation of corporate revenue for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Legends Entertainment District, and other areas of entertainment as assigned. Lead a sales team in managing current partner relationships, the renewal of expiring agreements, and the generation of new business.What Will You Do:Lead a sales team responsible for generating revenue from the sale of marketing assets.Generate short-term sales strategies/campaigns to reach specific goals.Renewal or new business presentations, schedule meetings, etc.Ability to cultivate new and existing corporate partner relationships to ensure sponsor revenue growth.Develop dynamic sales presentations for current or new business prospects.Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and inventory management reports.Provide consistent, concise feedback to SVP and CRO.Lead, mentor, and motivate co-workers to work as a cohesive team in accomplishing goals.What We Need From Our Director:Experience in pitching six-figure/seven-figure partnerships.Experience in presenting to Sr. Management Team.Fundamental understanding of sales process.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve.Experience in managing people.Must have basic understanding of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent customer service skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities.Supervisory Responsibilities:Three (3) plus years of sales management experience.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Sound leadership ability including motivating, coaching, and performance management.Experience/Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.Industry experience in supporting and managing a successful high-volume sales team.Five (5) plus years of experience in sales.Sales experience preferably in advertising or sponsorship sales.What You Can Expect:Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet business needs.Ability to transit throughout the arena for various periods of time.Occasional travel for professional development.This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is less than 5%.S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.Position is predominantly computer-based, requiring the use of a computer monitor.Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.Ability to read, write, and speak in English.Wide range of full-time benefit options including:
