As the clinical and/or commercial supply partner in vaccine discovery and development, we form teams with clients and our experts in live viruses, viral vectors, oncolytic viruses and vectors, potency assays, and virus-like particles (VLP) and antigen vaccines. Our capabilities extend to our industry-leading expression systems, which are already proving their mettle in vaccines directed at public health threats.Position Summary & Role

The Head of Global Sales and Business Development for the Biologics & Vaccines Franchise is responsible for sales and revenue in line with commercial team goals. This leader is accountable for results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to drive sales volume and profitable revenue across our technology platforms (cell free expression, continuous manufacturing), Process and Analytical Development, Drug Substance and Drug Product offerings from pre-clinical to late phase and commercial supply and multiple business models (fee for service, value / risk share, licensing and royalties). The role is responsible for growing and sustaining the client relationships and program opportunities to facilitate continuous business generation. This leader has the ability to generate new (pre-)clinical phase and late phase / business prospects, with demonstrated ability to maintain and grow strategic customer relationships within small-mid-large pharma and biotech companies.Position responsibilities include leadership responsibility for the team within North America and to expand the team internationally. Use of technical knowledge and experience to drive leads and grow accounts for the Biologics & Vaccines Franchise. The position will lead a talented team of individual sales professionals and requires superior leadership behaviors of the Resilience core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in the functional competencies included in this position profile. This position is field based and requires up to 50 percent travel.Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President and Business Unit Head of Biologics & Vaccines, this leader will:Plan and implement sales & business development strategy that is in line with the Biologics & Vaccines Franchise annual objectives, including management of business from small-mid-large sized pharma and biotech companies. Identifying strategic market segments and client lists to target for new business generation.Accelerate the portfolio and revenue ramp across our rapidly growing network of technology platforms, PAD and GMP manufacturing expansions.Work with marketing and inside sales and the Strategic team to research, identify and develop new clinical and commercial development and manufacturing lead prospects from multiple sources including leveraging personal networks, utilization of lead generation platforms, marketing and email campaigns and inbound web leads.Represent Resilience by attending trade shows and conferences and maintaining active membership and participation in industry member groups and events and participating in speaking opportunities.Monitor lead generation and conversion for early / late clinical phase and commercial development and manufacturing programs and makes marketing adjustments to drive lead generation for given market segments.Drives program scope and pricing strategies for standard and custom offerings, drives proposal generation in a timely manner and sets strategy for agreements for each program targeted for closure.Set sales strategy and direction for a group of sales professionals and pushes for top performance in growing the resilience client base and sales results.Own the customer relationship; maintains and drives continuous improvement and communicates customer needs internally.Collaborate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.Maintain and updates sales summaries and trends in salesforce to detect and react to business fluctuations and adjust market strategy accordingly.Assist in gathering market intelligence by reporting noteworthy information regarding customers, competitors and the marketplace, internally.Collaborate with Marketing to request and design specific marketing campaigns to meet the business goals and analyze inbound marketing data/trends to drive new business.Preferred Experience, Education & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:Experience in contract negotiations for clinical and/or commercial manufacturing supply agreements required.Led global Sales & BD teams, including creation of high-performing, service-oriented team.Prior CDMO external sales, account management or business development experience required.Experience in Biologics and/or Vaccines development and manufacturing preferred.Exemplify strong leadership skills representing the Resilience phenotypes and instill teamwork in forming a high performing Sales and Business Development team.Minimum of 12+ years of leadership experience in sales and business development, project management, contract management, or development and manufacturing experience required.Bachelor’s degree in a related life sciences / engineering field (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, etc.) required. Our target annualized base pay hiring range for this position is $200,000.00 - $263,750.00. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
