The Kroger Company is currently looking to hire a Sr. Fullstack Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis. This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid remote/onsite work schedule and will be based in Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Boca Raton, FL, or Chicago, IL.

Summary:
The Sr. Fullstack Engineer will support the build of a financial forecasting application. The tech stack is Java Spring Boot on the backend, Angular on the frontend. Knowledge of Azure is helpful.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.Establish estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with standards.Develop a high-quality codebase, lead design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebases.Responsible for development implementation of technical design within a defined set of teams.Participate in implementing enterprise standards across domains: operations, infrastructure, data, applications, development, security & risk, and business continuance.Provide technical clarity between ongoing projects and the strategic objectives of the company.Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches.Implement high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state solution.Lead the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes, and practices.Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.3+ years of successful and applicable experience in building complex software and automation systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.3+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems.3+ years of hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure.Strong knowledge of industry trends and competition.Deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, APIs, cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.Understanding of network and security architecture.Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation communication skills.Proven ability to think and contribute at the strategic level.
Desired:
Experience in Cloud software service including designing for scale, performance, and reliability.Experience in system architecture.Capability to build, mentor, and maintain an inclusive team-based environment.Experience building solutions using elastic architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform).
