Ibotta captures billions of purchases annually, with over ten thousand brands and across hundreds of retailers, presenting the right candidate with the opportunity to work with one of the most comprehensive and unique purchasing data sets in the world.As a Decision Scientist of Client Analytics, you will be responsible for providing actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic options, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business. This position will work cross-functionally with the sales team to provide data and insights to our clients based around shopper behaviors to enable better decision-making across the organization.This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office. The specified high value hybrid days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States.What you will be doing:
Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights to inform business decisions and understand consumer behavior to support the decision-making process.Use SQL, Excel, and BI tools with some opportunity to partner with data scientists and other members of the Ibotta analytics community on projects needing the use of Python, R, and other advanced analytics tools.Formulate solutions addressing major business challenges and innovation opportunities.Develop a deep understanding of Ibotta's data ecosystem and analytics tools.Bring proactive insights into our key business metrics through curiosity, dedication, and ongoing investment in understanding our products.Contribute to creating best practices and efficient processes for the team.Initiate and drive collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define project scope, responsibilities, and expectations.Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and other analytics deliverables.Embrace and uphold Ibotta’s Core Values: Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency & A good idea can come from anywhere.What we are looking for:
3+ years of experience in an analytical function.Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.Experience and proficiency working with:Data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Excel, Powerpoint, Git/GitHub, etc.).BI & other analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.).Exposure to Data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.Solid experience in the collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multi-dimensional data sets and building visualizations that turn data into meaningful business insights.Experience identifying, validating, documenting, and UATing events-based data for business utility in the data lake to help answer strategic questions.Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form, including development of data summaries, visualizations, and other storytelling methods.Demonstrates empathy for stakeholders, functional partners, clients, and Ibotta's users.Innate business sense that guides you to tie analytical outputs to impact-oriented recommendations and actionable next steps with the ability to translate those outcomes into technical specifications and ambiguous business questions into structured data problems.Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work independently and also collaborate across functional areas, manage stakeholder expectations, and prioritize support for key initiatives from start to finish under the guidance of your manager or more senior stakeholders.About Us:

This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks, and occasional meals.Base compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package.
