We are seeking candidates who are passionate about new concepts and technology, innovative with emerging technology, and passionate about delivering customer solutions.The selected candidate will fill an immediate opening supporting our government customer on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA. Occasional telework will occur only after coordination with the government customer and senior corporate site lead.This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software for our customers at the Army’s DEVCOM C5ISR Research Technology Integration Directorate. The role will require creativity and flexibility of software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement requirements of the larger program objectives. In this role, the candidate must be able to analyze user needs, conceptualize solutions, determine the feasibility of design, and know how to apply new technologies to allow for improvement to existing or development of new critical software applications within our client organization.What You’ll DoServe as a technical subject matter expert for designated computer servers and battle command C2 supporting information systems including the Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint Portal Server, Adobe Connect Server, Tactical Ground Reporting System Server, and other Servers as necessary.Design comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of C2 systems and simulation/stimulation systems by configuring battle command system interface nodes, documenting end-to-end connectivity and tactical message flow, maintaining the real-time operational status; tests hardware architecture and software.Integrate, test, and demonstrate hardware systems to include head-mounted displays, computers, radios, and networks with live, virtual, constructive simulation in support of lab and field events.Create, document, and analyze test plans, procedures, and reports, and assist with planning, implementing, and reporting on Systems Integration and Test activities.Coordinate with team members to resolve internal/external technical and schedule disconnects or address impacts due to schedule delays associated with related/dependent tasks.Coordinate across team members (Systems Engineering, Software Development, Test, etc.) to ensure internal/external scope of efforts are integrated/aligned and identify associated risks.Review program requirements which may include system/element level specifications and interface documents, with a focus on systems interoperability.Requirements And QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.3+ years’ experience programming in C and/or C++.
