Develop the supply chain infrastructure for a highly complex orbital optics assembly to be built in high volumesLeverage high volume industry (e.g. automotive, consumer) quality and production system culture to reduce cost, raise production rates and improve yieldsCreate statements of work and project plans to enable external development of production solutionsCreate Return of Investment (ROI) analyses to support capital investment projects at vendor sitesDrive vendor production efficiency improvements, including robotics and automation, to reduce labor, component cost and maximize qualitySupport internal integration processes with troubleshooting and nonconformance resolutionPerform structured root cause analysis of in-process failuresBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of science in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineeringMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or other production related positionsMinimum of 1 year of working experience in process qualification using industry standard methodologies such as IQ/OQ/PQPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

2 years of software development experience in a manufacturing environmentProfessional experience with 3D CAD softwareNX/Unigraphics CAD experienceExcellent communication skills both written and verbalWorking proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology and implementationExperience with microelectronics manufacturing processesSix Sigma Belt certificationAbility to create and deliver presentations for IQ/OQ/PQ, PDR/CDR, and government customersAbility to identify and analyze production process improvements for rate and qualityHands-on engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and building the best hardwareDemonstrated capability solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated teamWorking experience with industrial automation design and implementationExperience in a fast-paced, iterative design environments within the consumer electronics, mobile handset, medical devices, aerospace, marine or automotive industriesWorking experience in an ISO9001, AS9100 or equivalent quality systemADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededMust be willing to travel up to 50% of the timeITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
