Director of Bronchoscopy Opportunity in upscale Baltimore SuburbExcellent opportunity for a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician for this 300 bed, not-for-profit Community Hospital affiliated with Baltimore's major academic institutions.Robust medical education infrastructure, which includes an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency, affiliation agreements with University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. The system maintains a committed culture of quality improvement and was ranked as America's Best Employers by State in 2021.About the PositionThe Department is seeking to hire a highly skilled Pulmonary/Critical Care physician who will design and create a robust EBUS program. The new physician will join a well-trained, highly collaborative team within the Pulmonary and Critical Care Divisions and work closely with the largest community cancer center in the region. The center manages many clinical trials – NIH and Industry sponsored, allowing for opportunities to participate in multiple types of research. Opportunities to participate on the tumor board, endoscopy committee as well as establish a nodule clinic.In addition to leading the Bronchoscopy program, the Director will also “attend” in the Critical Care Unit with the opportunity to supervise and teach residents.About the OpportunityTime allocation flexibility tailored to your interestsProtected time availableEndoscopy suite designed for bronchoscopyStrong primary care referral baseUp to two procedural days per week as program builds12 bed ICU & 12 bed SICU & IMCU – ADC in units 4-8Cover closed units every 4th weekend, shared with IntensivistsWeekend blocks are 8-9 daytime and 3-4 night/Year.
