Your challengesHas line responsibility for all revenue and direct salespersons in the assigned sales region.Manage assigned salespersons, evaluates performance, provides training-related sales techniques, opportunity/account management, pipeline development, and time/territory management. Provide mentoring and professional development for team members.Establish individual goals and acceptable levels of performance. Act as a senior management contributing champion and regularly participates in management level meetings and discussions.Establish sales territories and quotas. Manage and approves price discounting related to bottom line profitability targets and guidelines.Supervise all sales activities, including the proper use of the CRM, quoting and reporting systems.Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communities.Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors in oral and written formats.Responsible, in coordination with Director of Marketing, for assigning and supervising representative salespersons at designated conference or tradeshow events.75% travel (Domestic and Internal within and external to assigned territory as required) in working directly with sales, service, field applications, marketing, corporate events and direct customer meetings.Regular monitoring of market dynamics and competitive landscape providing feedback to company.Your expertiseBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and eight years' related field sales experience in life sciences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and management oversight experience. Graduate degree such as MBA or M.S. or further commercial experience preferred.Excellent English speaking and writing communication skills. Additional language proficiencies are a plus.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Proficient in Windows OS and Office Suite, CRM, SAP, Webex/Skype and other financial analysis software.Valid driver's license required. Must maintain a good driving record.
