Our work depends on Software Engineer joining our team to design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who is experienced and equally comfortable with developing the front-end and back-end of the web application stack. They should have technical experience in a variety of big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust, scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. They should be comfortable working in an Agile environment with little supervision.How a Software Engineer Will Make An Impact

Designs, develops, evaluates, plans and tests engineering specifications for software programs and applicationsDemonstrated experience building and operating a full stack application using Java and Angular or similar JavaScript/Typescript frameworkDemonstrated experience with web service design and development Experience with RDBMS’s such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgresProvide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platformsTroubleshoot complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issuesTeam focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environmentExperience with modern build tools such as Gradle, Maven and Jenkins Experience with Linux operating system and TomcatWhat You’ll Need To Succeed:

Education: Bachelor of Science or betterRequired Experience: 10 years of related software experienceRequired Technical Skills:Design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing softwareProvide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platformsTroubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software systems and application issuesCollaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineersProvide recommendations for continuous improvementSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI with PolyRequired Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated experience with Elastic SearchDemonstrated experience with UI design and usabilityExperience with automated and continuous buildsExperience with Amazon Cloud ServicesPreferred Skills: Candidates will require experience with the principles of large-scale (terabytes) database development, large-scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and documentation preparation.Location: On Customer SiteUS Citizenship RequiredGDIT Is Your Place:
