As a PM you’ll help to set product vision and roadmap, collaborate with design and engineering teams to build the right product, and work with go-to-market teams to get our products into the hands of our customers. You’ll work with your engineering and GTM counterparts to effectively communicate the direction and status of your product area to the rest of the organization. You’ll be actively researching the AI market, ensuring we stay on top of the latest and remain ahead of our competition both in product quality and ease of use for developers. At AssemblyAI, product managers are highly flexible, technically-minded, and will adjust to whatever is needed to deliver great products to our customers.Key Responsibilities
Serve as a founding member of the product function at AssemblyAIUnderstand our customers by talking with customers regularly, interacting with go-to-market teams, and digging into product data. Help the rest of the organization understand our customers as well.Help set the direction of AssemblyAI’s productLeading the scoping, prioritization, and delivery of new product initiatives that align with the company’s goals and roadmapWork closely with the engineering team to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery of new productsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfactionOwn the product roadmap and strategy, and continuously identify and prioritize opportunities for growth and improvementDevelop effective product briefs that help us build the right productsIdentify new opportunities and product areas for AssemblyAI to pursueMeasure, analyze and report to the organization on the success of our productsHelp build the foundations for a high-performing Product team at AssemblyAIBe an advocate for the user and use data and analytics to drive decisions and improvementsRequirements
Technical undergraduate degree (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)Entrepreneurial mindset and experienceYou don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to speak the language of caching layers, databases, and pull requestsStrong project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge and experience of user research methodologies and comfortable in front of customersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and conciselyNice to have
4+ years as a Product Manager, with a track record of launching successful productsPrevious experience building products for developersExperience owning end-to-end product development, from ideation to launchFamiliarity with SQL, Javascript, and APIs.Skills
