Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As Senior Manager, Software Development within the New Glenn Engineering Data Systems & Architecture team, you support, develop, and guide a highly productive and trusted software development team. Your team delivers interrelated tools that manage foundational engineering data for spaceflight systems. The team's customers are a demanding and deeply technical group of engineers across design, operations and maintenance. As a leader it is your responsibility to provide the people, culture, processes and guidance that result in rapidly delivering the right tools within a strategic path that is robust and scalable. You will be responsible for the team’s successful impact on all aspects their work!We are building tools for the engineers designing, operating and maintaining our New Glenn rocket. We bring complex data together and make it meaningful information for decisions. This role requires working closely with leadership throughout New Glenn and Blue Origin. Your team will be building effective software solutions and tools that support engineering and operational teams from vehicle design through tactical maintenance and repair operations. You will take responsibility for ensuring that the team is capable and consistent in providing performant and robust solutions.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Lead the team in developing and maintaining a culture of excellence and inclusion consistent with Blue Origin's leadership principles.Retain, develop, and add team members who are able to earn trust and deliver results for our customers.Carry a clear vision, consistently keeping the team aligned with global needs of the business unit.Contribute and collaborate with the entire team in developing technical strategy and tactical results.Assist strategists and leaders at all levels in iteratively determining requirements and defining business process such that tools built by the team will enable robust flow of engineering parameters and data from creation to consumption.Actively identify and manage risks to the team's performance or success of team deliverables.Develop relationships with customers across New Glenn and Blue Origin and ensure that successes and end results are recognized.Provide reliable and effective methods for scoping, estimating, prioritizing and communicating progress to customers for all development work within the team.Enable solutions that are timely yet scalable.Ensure the right level of software development standards and guidance are in place and aligned with the criticality of the tools developed / data managed.Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in technical field or equivalent demonstrated capabilities.10+ years working with data engineering, cloud architecture, systems integration or a related domain.5+ years direct software development experience.Technical experience with frontend development, APIs, distributed systems, databases, and developer tools.Hands-on approach to closing gaps that strikes a balance between technical debt reduction and delivering rapidly on behalf of our customers.Proven experience crafting data platforms and data tools.Ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences at all levels of leadership and technical depth.Coding proficiency in at least one modern web services programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.) and SQL.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:

Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar analytical field.3+ years direct product management experience.Experience with provisioning, forecasting usage, and managing to a budget.Experience with aerospace systems and/or knowledge of systems engineering.Don’t meet every single requirement?
