Job TitleSenior Sales DirectorDepartmentInterconnect SalesTravel RequiredYesReporting toHead of SalesJob SummaryDirecting the sales strategy in their region, this person will develop key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans, to ensure our client products are at the forefront of their customer priorities. The role will be focused on the interconnect carrier products and services portfolio for the Americas region. Sales director duties will include market penetration, pipeline growth, hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer needs and trends. The role is crucial to drive profitability and commercial growth strategies.Roles And ResponsibilitiesDrives territory activities and ensures strong customer engagement on all fronts.Responsible for territory/customer sales attack plans by implementing sales and marketing strategies.Establishes sales objectives by accurate forecasting and developing annual sales for the territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products and regular review/forecast performance.Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.Monitors costs, competition, and supply and demand.Identifies new sales opportunities by leveraging contacts, industry knowledge, and working closely with the company’s teams.Forges strong internal business partnerships to deliver customer expectations and solutions.Holds all employees accountable for territory sales objectives.Establishes consistent sales development to maximize competitive position and generate strong margin contributions across customer brand(s).Confers with leadership to review achievements and discuss required changes in product and sales strategies and tactics utilized in achieving sales goals or objectives.Developing and negotiating contracts with customers and their procurement teams.Ensures accountability from all sales professionals and support staff.Work with partners in relation to interconnect lead and revenue generation.Education RequirementDegree educated.Languages (English & Spanish)Experience RangeMinimum 5 years of software sales experience or 10 years in senior level sales in the carrier market in Tier 1 operators.Proven history of surpassing both individual and team quotas.Deep knowledge of SMS/Voice business both commercially and technically.Key Skills And CompetenciesExcellent communication skills; oral and written communications to technical, business and executive audiences. Including effective demonstration and presentation techniques.Strong facilitation skills.Strong ‘people skills’ for successful working with individuals from different teams.Demonstrates an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently both internally and externally.Comfortable working with and understanding complex business solutions.Clearly and effectively conveys passion and product knowledge in a polished manner.Analytical and Troubleshooting skills.Communication Skills in English and Spanish (Not a prerequisite but will help).Attention to detail and accuracy.Displays a passionate, positive, and problem-solving attitude, with an overwhelming desire to win and continuously improve personal and professional skills.Strong contact list within the Carrier industry (not essential but would help).Willingness to travel.Independent worker (WFH).Please ignore the salary stated as it is flexible.
