Are you an experienced attorney with a specialization in ERISA compliance? We are currently seeking a highly skilled ERISA Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide prompt, practical compliance advice and support to our business, ensuring adherence to all ERISA and applicable health and welfare laws. This is a remote position, based in San Mateo, CA.Responsibilities
Compliance Expertise:
As an ERISA Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and best practices to ensure compliance with ERISA and health and welfare laws. Your guidance will play a crucial role in helping our business meet all necessary compliance requirements.Plan Participant Support:
You will advise business leaders and colleagues on a wide range of plan participant inquiries, claims, health plan compliance matters, and ERISA-based disputes. Additionally, you will collaborate with external counsel to support the resolution of these issues.Stay Up-to-Date:
It is vital for an ERISA Counsel to stay current on evolving laws and regulations. By remaining up-to-date, you will serve as a specialist and provide proactive legal and strategic advice on complex ERISA-related issues that impact our business plans.Qualifications
A Juris Doctor (JD) degreeExtensive experience in ERISA compliance and employee benefits lawStrong knowledge of health and welfare lawsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyProven ability to provide practical legal advice and guidanceBenefits And Compensation
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $214,000 to $267,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide excellent benefits and a flexible remote work arrangement.How To Apply
