We are looking for highly motivated engineering co-op students to join our team at Orangewood Labs, a startup focused on designing and manufacturing industrial robotic arms. As an engineering co-op, you will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and scientists to support research and development activities for our products. You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge to real-world problems and develop your technical skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support research and development activities for industrial robotic arms.Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and software systems for robotic arms using CAD and other design tools.Conduct experiments and collect data to evaluate the performance of robotic arms and subsystems.Analyze and interpret data using statistical and data analysis tools to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Participate in product design and development meetings to provide technical input and feedback.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing research and development activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, or a related field.Familiarity with design tools such as CAD, MATLAB, and/or Python.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a company vehicle, in compliance with US laws.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with robotic systems, control systems, and sensors.Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java, and/or Python.Familiarity with simulation tools such as Simulink and/or Gazebo.Experience with embedded systems and/or microcontrollers.At Orangewood Labs, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
