Medical Director - Excellent community health center site medical director opportunity in a fantastic beachfront resort location. This is an outpatient-only position in a progressive three-office health system. The position may or may not include pediatric medicine, depending on your preference.
The Site Medical Director (Medical Director) provides clinical care as well as site leadership and guides the professional practice of their Health Center. The Medical Director serves as a key member of the Health Center’s Leadership Team; supervises and mentors providers, meets regularly with the CMO, participates in organizational initiatives, and communicates organizational direction and policy. Works with the CMO to establish and implement clinical standards of care and policies and procedures consistent with organizational goals and evidence-based medical practices.
Ensures education regarding and compliance of clinical staff with policies and procedures. Provides ongoing orientation and evaluation program for practitioners. Directs, supervises, and evaluates work of clinical staff and provides ongoing feedback directed towards performance improvement. Meets regularly with staff. Reviews provider-related quality data, patient feedback, and staff input to conduct yearly performance reviews. Provides corrective action as needed. Participates in interviews, reviewing references, and providing recommendations for potential practitioners.
With the Health Center’s Leadership team, the Medical Director is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care for the patients and communities served by the Health Center. This position includes competitive compensation and full benefits.
