Apply now!Role:Functional testing of new custom Astranis radio subsystems (frequency converters, amplifiers, modems, data converters, etc)Performance characterization and calibration of custom Astranis radio subsystems (calibrate gain, nonlinearity, flatness, phase noise, frequency drift over temperature, emissions compliance, etc)Own testing of integrated radio system for system level metrics like EVM, BER, link acquisition time, etcProcure, setup, and automate new test equipment (network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, RF loads, etc)Build up test benches, test racks, and design PCBs for testDevelop and maintain test automation code in PythonAssist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team.Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in EE, CS (or equivalent background knowledge)Experience working with RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc)Experience with Python (or other high-level scripting languages)Experience in test automationExperience designing PCBs using Altium or similar2+ years of experience working in a hardware environmentBonus:2+ years of experience testing communications or sensing hardware (digital radio, radar, sonar, lidar, etc)Strong grasp of digital communications conceptsExperience with bash/tcl (or similar shell-level scripting languages)Strong proficiency with Linux and command-line toolingEnjoy writing robust codeEnjoy root causing issues and problem solvingU.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required(To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))Our mission and our products are meant to connect the world and everyone in it, regardless of gender, race, creed, or any other distinction.
