We are actively seeking an exceptional Software Engineering Manager for our Bitcoin mining operations team who will oversee the operations of our cutting-edge infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in the design and scaling of our carbon-reducing operating model, as well as the management of critical hardware, software and network components.We’re looking for

an in-the-trenches leader

that enjoys developing talent as much as innovating and building. You will be expected to be involved in writing and reviewing code, as well as reviewing proposals and architecture documents. In this role, you will drive the evaluation of tools and frameworks, carefully considering their impact on reliability, scalability, operational costs, and ease of adoption. Your keen eye for optimization will be crucial in ensuring our digital currency mining operations are at the forefront of innovation and efficiency.As a Software Engineering Manager on this team, you will work closely with your tech lead to mentor and develop talented software engineers. You will be responsible for shaping their technical skills and team fit assessments, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.Through your guidance and partnership with our tech leads, you will actively contribute to the professional development of our engineers, empowering them to reach their full potential.You Will Thrive In This Role If:

3+ years of engineering management experience, 6+ years of experience working in software engineering5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++5+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systemsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5-8+ years relevant work experienceYou get things done across organizational and technical boundariesYou have experience driving large initiatives spanning across multiple teams in your current or previous roles, and excel at collaborating cross-team and cross-functionallyYou had experience managing technical initiatives aimed towards web performance or developer productivity, or you’re interested in building this expertiseProven experience in building and maintaining scalable and highly available fault-tolerant distributed systems and application architecturesSolid understanding of infrastructure design, including the operational trade-offs of various designsFamiliarity with modern CI/CD practices and build systems, such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub ActionsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenBenefits:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $200,000-225,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
