Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical ICU Stepdown36 Hour Nights7pm – 7am, With Every Other WeekendThis 38-bed unit provides care for intermediate level surgical patients. Expected patient population consists of post-operative patients requiring intermediate level care, either directly transferred from the PACU or in the SICU. Specialties include cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma and transplant patients.Responsibilities:

IMCU core competenciesCAPDPost-operative care of cardiac surgery patients (post ICU)Care of the ventilated patientCare of the thoracic surgery patientsHemodynamic monitoring: arterial linesStable doses of dopamine, neo-synephrine, diltiazem, dobutamine, nitroglycerine (non-titrated)Care of post-operative cervical spine and traumatic brain injured patients (post SICU)Post-SICU care of esophagectomy, laryngectomy, or major oromaxillary surgeryPost-operative renal transplantContinuous renal replacement therapiesCare of high-risk OB patientsExperience/Certification:
