Job Description

As a Project Manager you will be managing projects for AI app upgrade and tool migration focused on pricing, finance, supply chain, data governance, LLMs, and other AI apps. Some work will also be creation of net-new apps, utilizing the latest platform features of an exciting AI tool. You need to have experience managing high-profile high-stakes technology projects in the enterprise setting within a complex context of systems and cross-functional stakeholders. You should have the ability to manage project schedule and deliverables, be proactive in troubleshooting schedule and have a solid understanding of how to chase down and resolve technical issues, demonstrating positive client engagement, ongoing consulting success and great relationship-building ability.

Duties And Responsibilities

Support the development team through all duties to support the overall execution of the project/initiative. This includes driving collaboration, alignment and integrated delivery for a given project/initiative.Document scope, timeline, resource plan, and stakeholders.Lead the project team through each phase of the project.Identify and manage all issues and risks on the project; escalate items timely.Ensure that all the project tasks and deliverables remain on track and within cost.Manage the project folder and related documentation, ensuring decisions and status updates are captured timely.Communicate and maintain project progress and decisions via meetings and status reports on a regular basis and on demand based on stakeholder need.Establish and manage realistic and committed project schedules; taking into consideration deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs when making changes and decisions to schedule.Ensure that the Project Team shares a common understanding of the project, that adequate resources are being applied consistent with the set timeframe.Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders, as required for the given project.Establish a project site and organize and maintain project documentation to support needs.Track financial spend against budget on third party purchases where needed.Maintain stakeholder list, develop communication plans, and assist with creating communications deliverables as needed.Use the following technologies: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint; Jira.Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.Adjust project management approaches as needed, based on industry best practices and professional judgement.Facilitate discussions to drive decision making, share information and collect information, as required by the project.Proactively manage change control and communicate impact in project scope, identify risks/issues, and devise contingency plans.Deliverables for each Project to be created and/or maintained

Steer-co Updates.Monthly Business Reviews.Lean Business Case (justification, deliverables, milestones, level of effort by resource type, budget, schedule).High level Gantt chart and detailed project workplan/Schedule.Stakeholder List.Communications Plan.Resource Schedule.Weekly Status Updates.Executive Updates (e.g. PPTs) as needed (frequency TBD).Issue/Risk Log.Project budget/forecast.Others as required, based on business need.Must Have Experience

Total of 2-8 years of experience: Minimum of 2 years of IT project management, especially with creating deliverables outlined above; And 2 years experience in data & analytics, preferably technical delivery of data engineering in projects related to public sector or other similar projects.Experience with project management best practices and ideally a PMP certification.Experience driving multiple projects of significant complexity simultaneously.Experience in communicating at all levels (team to executive) within client environment and internal inter-disciplinary teams such as cloud engineering, consulting, design, behavioral science, AI skilled horizontals.Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Experience managing projects in a hybrid methodology project execution environment.Proven working experience in project management through all facets of project lifecycle.Proven track record to drive results and navigate challenges successfully.Key Preferred Skills

Public sector state & local government experience is a plus.Quarterly Planning with Senior Executives.Proactive Demand generation, seeding new ideas by enabling thought leadership.Team motivation, team management, people development, succession planning.Knowledge of Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure, SAP, Smartsheet, Teams, O365.Former experience as a Scrum Master, PMO, TPM.Financial Tracking experience.Excellent Communication – oral and written.Ability to lead teams through planned schedules and proactively address issues/risks.Proficient in creating effective PowerPoint presentations.Flexible to be in details and at summarized/high-level.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.Effective resource estimating skills.Self-starter with a strong work ethic, who sets high standards for self and others and demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission of the team.Pay

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the salary range, depending on experience, is $110,000 to 170,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
