Genomelink is embarking on an exciting new venture within our startup, launching an independent project centered around health, medical, and clinical genetic testing, with the ultimate goal of empowering patients to achieve better health outcomes.We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate project co-founder who will be responsible for the technological aspects of this new project, particularly the bioinformatics component. While the primary focus of this role will be software development and bioinformatics, we expect our co-founder to be a versatile generalist who can contribute to a broad range of areas to ensure the project's success.What will the role do?

As a co-founder in our new project, your role will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our startup and driving its success. You will have the opportunity to impact the health industry and help the project grow into a billion-dollar business. Key responsibilities include:Develop and implement software and bioinformatics pipelines that address the needs of our businessContinuously explore and apply cutting-edge methods to enhance our products and stay at the forefront of the industryLead research projects, publish papers, and share our groundbreaking work with the scientific communityEstablish and grow a strong project team, working collaboratively as a project co-founder to achieve our mission and goalsBasic requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related fields (biostatistics, bioinformatics, genetics, epidemiology, computer science, etc)Proven experience in the startup environment, with a demonstrated ability to navigate uncertainty and contribute to the growth and success of a new ventureSolid background in the biotech industry, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges, opportunities, and trendsFamiliar with scripting languages such as R, PythonA higher level of Linux knowledge and experienceExperience in building bioinformatics toolkits and the capability to convert research methods into usable code.Understand the popular statistical methods in genetics and have a passion for learning novel methods that could impact the world of genomics.Good communication as well as presentation skillsSelf-driven and can work on research projects independentlyExperience with remote-first teamPreferred:
