We have built out a large engineering organization, moved to the cloud, re-architected our applications and data platforms, and embraced machine learning at scale.Capital One Software is seeking a Distinguished Engineer who is passionate about building & leading enterprise B2B SaaS solutions. As a Capital One Distinguished Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.Responsibilities:Build awareness, increase knowledge and drive adoption of modern technologies, sharing consumer and engineering benefits to gain buy-in.Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others' ideas can be heard and championed.Promote a culture of engineering excellence, using opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions where possible.Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization.Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform or capability domain.Lead the way in creating next-generation talent for Tech, mentoring internal talent and actively recruiting external talent.Participate in our incubation journey for new SaaS offerings.Develop strategies to support scaling beyond the Incubation phase.Setup a framework to inculcate new ideas, leveraging innovations and technologies.Collaborate with Engineering peers, venture investment, strategy team, and company executives on key innovation initiatives.Build a startup environment where innovation and problem solving become key part of the team culture.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree.At least 7 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.At least 3 years of experience with public cloud technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Masters' Degree.10+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.7+ years experience designing and building enterprise platform solutions.5+ years of experience with Agile software development.4+ years experience with public cloud technologies.AWS Certifications.Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity.
