Our mission is to empower companies to become their own fin-tech company using our simple, seamless, and forward-thinking payroll technology.‼️ The salary for this role is between $125-145k with equity from a series-A company and is hybrid where employees come to the office around 2x a week!ABOUT THE ROLEAll our engineers here at Zeal are full-stack engineers, but this role will focus on the backend (80%) with opportunities to work on the front end (20%).SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ONBuilding and coding in our codebase, focusing on our taxes and payments within the fintech API industry.Improving the tax management stack, developing features to help our Partners scale with our API, and strengthening our services + infrastructure to handle large enterprise customers.Work with a team of 10-15 engineers from various backgrounds in a collaborative environment.YOU HAVE3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a start-up environment.Expertise in Typescript, NodeJS, MongoDB, and AWS.Proficiency in React or a similar frontend framework.Experience building products end-to-end, working closely with product and design teams.Strong collaboration skills and a desire to help others grow.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.Commitment to technical excellence.NICE-TO-HAVEExperience working in payroll or fin-tech software development.Passion for the fin-tech or HR landscape.Interest in side-projects or hackathons.OUR INTERVIEW PROCESSChat with our recruiter - 30 minsChat with our CTO - 30 minsPaid Take-Home Assignment - 3-4 hoursFinal Interview - 2.5 hoursOUR CULTUREWe are located in the SoMa district of San Francisco and value in-person collaboration.
