Job Description:
HDG is seeking an enthusiastic software engineer to provide software development and sustainment of C++ applications for the Department of Defense (DoD). Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.This is a full-time position based in San Diego, under our Software Solutions group.Required qualifications:
Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain oneBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics2-5 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with:Object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript, Python)RDBMS database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MySQL)Source Code Management (e.g., Git)Experience with Agile software developmentExperience with enterprise software and microservices architecturesDesired qualifications:
Software engineering experience with:Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (i.e., REST, AJAX, JSON)CI/CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)Automated testing (i.e., Selenium, Cypress)Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)CompTIA Security+ CertificationSalary:
Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-120,000.
