Job Responsibilities:As a full-stack engineer with a back-end focus, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills in a variety of areas while working on a data-focused team. You will help architect and deliver a wide variety of code artifacts, working on Go/Python/Node web services in a serverless architecture, mutating data and serving it to web applications while consuming from and to REST/SQL/GraphQL data sources. Gain experience in CI/CD by utilizing Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. Our group focuses on full cycle engineering – requirements to production support, allowing you to work on various problems while gaining Big Data experience.

You will be challenged to:

Build core platform services and client-facing APIs, involving in API design and implementation of Restful API services.

Interface with data by creating APIs using programming languages like Python, Java, Go, or Scala with REST/GraphQL frameworks.

Deliver applications using containerized microservices with Kubernetes (EKS).

Help design and manage continuous delivery pipelines for your team’s code and deliverables using Jenkins/GitHub/GitLab/Udeploy/Airflow/Terraform.

Design reusable data ingestion, extraction, and aggregation frameworks using AWS services for data science and business analytics teams.

Understand our big data (HDFS) and corporate warehouse (Teradata / AWS Redshift) environments and help identify insights/trends.

Constantly evaluate new technologies to see if they can bring value to the organization.

Skills and Experience Required:

A solid understanding of API and system design trade-offs for application development efficiency, performance, and cost.

Experience designing cloud-first solutions with AWS technologies.

Object-oriented programming efficiency with Python or Java.

Experience in implementing industrial patterns of platform security including Authentication/Authorization, SSL, and Okta.

Exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale web-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient design strategies.

Experience with large-scale distributed relational and NoSQL database systems.

Technologies:

Python, Java, Go, GraphQL, SQL, CI/CD technologies, AWS cloud-based solutions, GitHub.

Skills:

Full-stack solution design, API design, scripting/build automation.
