As part of AstraZeneca's IT transformation program, Veeva CRM (Customer Relationship Management) has been deployed to 35,000+ users in 70+ countries globally to improve field user efficiency and effectiveness. We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join our dynamic CoE team and lead design and build of releases and projects on the Veeva CRM platform and related applications/integrations.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Serve as an internal consultant for IT and business partners across regions and business areas (Commercial, Medical)Identify platform exploitation and innovation opportunities across the enterpriseSocialize new or unused Veeva/SFDC platform features with business and identify exploitation opportunitiesActively promote new platform features and drive adoptionRun assessments / POCs for new initiativesGenerate innovation ideas and build case for new featuresParticipate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business & IT partnersLead delivery activities through Design / Build / Test / Deploy phases for regular releases and key Veeva platform initiativesUnderstand e2e CRM ecosystem and provide technical and functional oversight on configuration, customization, MyInsights UX development for Veeva releases and projectsProvide technical expertise on integration technologies to release and project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Integration designs and solutionsGenerate and implement ideas to simplify / streamline our integration landscapeLead, mentor and coach the AZ Application Development team based in Chennai to increase throughput and qualityProvide technical expertise to peers and 3rd party development suppliers to ensure consistency in alignment to AZ IT and Commercial IT standards and processesEvaluate and demonstrate accountability for onboarding and launch of new technologies / application features and influence recommendations for technology and business strategic roadmapsLead / Influence Product Release Roadmap against AstraZeneca’s interests from the productHelp refine business requirements, set priorities, lead expectations, resolve issues, and work with the other members of the technical team to deliver innovative solutions.Collaborate with Business partners and Capability leads to co-create functionalities with strategic markets with a view to scale globallyDemonstrate expert understanding of the application development processes of AstraZeneca’s implementation of the product.Maintain deep solid understanding of Veeva and Salesforce platforms/products/infrastructure aligned with their development assignmentsContinuous Improvement and Innovation
Lead continuous improvement opportunities within platform and product-level backlogsGenerate new insights for exploiting our platforms by understanding business goals and needs, and identifying how our strategic platforms can be used to support these goals and needsIdentify unmet business needs and propose designs to address themIdentify new technologies to meet niche business needsWork on POCs and Hackathons to prove out new insights / designs / technologiesDevelop proposals / arguments to get agreement from partnersJob Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similarVeeva CRM, Vault Certified professional with extensive hands-on experience on large implementationsSalesforce Platform Certified and expertized in sophisticated custom solutions and new capability designExperience in integration technologies & skills – Snaplogic, MuleSoftExperience on AWS and Java is an added benefitMinimum 3-5 years in a solution architect-level roleMinimum 5-8 years with direct hands-on experienceExperience in Business and Customer managementPrior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good eye for businessEvidence of designing, shaping and implementing innovative solutions and driving any changesExpertise in Agile Software Development techniques and MethodologiesExpertise in Web and Mobile Application EngineeringExpertise in application design patterns and processesExpertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment methods delivered as part of an agile teamA broad understanding of cloud architectureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work within both Agile and Waterfall development methodologiesProven experience of leading and coaching/mentoring offshore teams of developersProven experience of developing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliersStrong written and verbal communications skillsExperience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelinesWHY JOIN US?
