Position description

The Department of Psychiatry within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.

The Department is conducting an open search for Specialists, Project Scientists, and Research Scientists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full level in various disciplines of neuropsychiatric disorders.

At UC San Diego, Specialists and Project Scientists make significant and creative contributions to a research project, while Research Scientists are academic researchers who develop and lead independent research and creative programs equivalent to that required for the Ladder Rank Professor series.

Responsibilities of the successful candidates may include performing studies and experiments, analyzing and preparing presentations and reports summarizing data, and scholarly contributions.

Basic qualifications

(required at time of application): Candidates must have a MD or PhD or equivalent in the areas of neuropsychiatric disorders.
