Financial Analyst III - Lunar Permanence

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will join in development of one of our space vehicles as a member of the Lunar Transportations Finance team. We're looking for someone with a passion for the pursuit of safe and repeatable spaceflight as you work daily with key stakeholders within the program and finance teams. You'll drive analysis, process improvement, and reporting to contribute towards financial and programmatic decisions that directly impact the history of space exploration!

Position is on site in Kent/Renton, WA - relocation provided if needed!

Responsibilities:Help build and continuously enhance financial models in excel based on industry specific operating metrics including scenario and sensitivity analysis based on different factorsPerform analysis and reporting to ensure costs are within agreed upon budgetsPrepare project budgets and provide analysisRecommend and implement process improvement measures and identify key financial as well as non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risksLead cost reduction effortsCreation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviewsSupport termination liability analysisCost/price analysis for supplier proposalsDrive change analysisQuantitative and statistical analysis methods of costCreate financial visibility toolsPerforms risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions. Work with program teams to develop recovery plans

Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or analytical field3+ years of post grad financial analysis experience with a focus on financial analysis, to include preparing budgets and providing analysis such as time-phased non-labor expenditure, termination liability analysis, audits and conducting analysis/reporting to ensure projects are within negotiated and agreed upon budgetsExperience with data mining across diverse data setsExcellent written communication and presentation skills
