Job Description:
Aeyon is seeking a business development director who possesses a strong passion for client success in the Department of Defense. The primary purpose of this position is to assist our Systems Integration Community of Practice in solving its most challenging and complex tasks associated with the Oracle based systems such as the DOD Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in bringing the best of Aeyon to our clients. Aeyon combines our in-depth understanding of the Department of Defense systems environment with our ability to work hand-in-hand with our clients to collectively enable measurable, relevant and sustainable improvements to drive mission success.
As a Business Development Director, you are a key leader in our organization responsible for cross collaborating with Aeyon’s internal practice areas, our Business Sectors, and our clients to drive new opportunities that solve the DoD's toughest system migration challenges. This includes:
Understanding the Demand: Align the strategic direction of the various Defense Agency and Military Services Oracle migrations and systems support with an understanding of the overall DOD mission and Aeyon’s capabilities.
Understanding our client’s business pain points and aligning Aeyon’s competencies against those requirements by showcasing corporate capabilities, developing solutions and white papers through collaboration with Aeyon DAI subject matter experts and our strategic partners, and aligning revenue opportunities with our ability to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.
Leading Sector Growth for DAI migrations: Overseeing the DAI systems migration pipeline of opportunities across the requirement lifecycle.
Integration: Coordinating and working with extended teams and Aeyon’s other business developers to establish integrated marketing campaigns designed to grow market share, build the Aeyon brand, and achieve DAI Financial Systems’ business objectives.
Proposal Management: Forecasting, identifying and screening Requests for Proposal (RFPs), conducting market research and analysis, qualifying opportunities, leading and driving win strategies, developing and refining corporate solutions, building teams of partner companies, and creating winning proposals.
Marketing: Leading and influencing the DOD and military sector’s marketing strategy at relevant events, conferences, association meetings, thought leadership, publication contributions, digital marketing, and advertising.
Experience Requirements:
Mandatory:
Unquestionable integrity, credibility and character.
Experience with DAI related system migrations and/or the optimization of Oracle functional modules.
10+ years of experience in a senior business development position supporting the DOD.
Previous experience in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing new or expanding business for a large or growing firm.
High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure.
Passion for managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and closing deals.
Experience leading pursuit teams in a matrixed environment.
Bringing in existing relationships and possessing the ability to create new relationships with customers and teaming partners.
Knowledge of DoD appropriations and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
Minimum Systems Experience:
Experience designing, developing, testing and deploying DAI solutions in one of the following Oracle modules: Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Budget to Report (B2R), Cost Accounting (CA), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). USMC DAI Preferred.
Years of Experience:
Candidate must have 10 years of full-time (excluding internships) experience within the past 15 years of progressive experience providing DoD financial systems or Oracle business systems services to the Federal Government agencies or commercial companies.
