The long-term lease and concession agreement with Georgetown University is a flagship project which is redefining how utility operations and investments should be made by bringing the strengths of a public-private partnership. The Georgetown University Law Campus Centralization Project is one of the major campus infrastructure upgrade projects that will help Georgetown University to reach its sustainability goals. The Law Campus consists of 6 buildings, with an additional building under construction, served by 4 local utility plants. Existing equipment in the buildings is past lifecycle and needs replacement. The project consists of a new centralized system including boilers, chillers, heat pumps and cooling towers, and associated distribution, to serve the entire Law Campus. There will be a concurrent scope for replacement of major in-building equipment (to include air-handling units/fan-coil units/exhaust fans, generator, MCCs, distribution pumps, electrical switchboards, local transformers). Reporting directly to the Director, Capital Projects, the Law Campus Utility Improvements/Centralization Project Senior Project Manager will be a part of the ENGIE team at the Georgetown Campus and will lead the development, design and construction of the centralization project, centralizing operations and controls and adding new technologies; provide guidance and leadership to the In-Building Scope Project Manager, who will report directly to the Senior Project Manager; solicit and manage the contracts for the project; and liaise the project management activities and reporting with the University and internal stakeholders. What you’ll do:

Manage the project management team including internal staff and external consultants with the functions required to deliver a large industrial project on time, on budget, and without health, safety, environmental, and public relations issues. Develop the contract(s) with assistance from legal counsel and contracts manager, solicit RFPs, award contract(s), and manage them for design and construction of central plant, heating and cooling distributions, and major in-building equipment replacement. Provide leadership and oversight to the project management team, following ENGIE’s project management and reporting processes through all phases of project development and execution. Develop project definition documents, including, scope, schedule, budget forecasts, resource requirements, risk registers, among others. Hire consultants, external contractors, and internal employees to successfully complete this project. Ensure project is executed on time, under budget, with no health, safety, environmental, and public relations incidents. Liaise and coordinate all design, construction and commissioning activities with related ENGIE and Georgetown University staff. Provide regular reports to the Director, Capital Projects Georgetown and ENGIE management with key statistics, and summary reports to Georgetown University. Provide lateral and direct management, as appropriate, to other ENGIE employees supporting the projects. Manage the information exchange and liaison with all state, local, and university entities. What you bring:

Bachelor of Science in a relevant area, or equivalent demonstrated experience. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience required with a preference for those with previous experience in management of similar industrial construction projects or urban setting such as a university campus. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to be able to engage with all stakeholders including Georgetown University faculty and students as well as staff, contractors and government agencies. PMP certification is a plus. Strong acumen in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects in addition to technical and organizational structures. Must be able to multi-task; utilize problem solving and interpersonal skills. Strong management and leadership skills. Knowledge of modern management tools in continuous improvement. Salary Range: $128,400-$196,765, annually. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
