Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance3 + years of general ledger accounting experienceSuccess in this role will require an acute understanding of business and financial issuesCuriosity and a commitment to understand complex financial transactions is essentialAbility to multi-task and handle priorities in a demanding and fast-paced environmentNimble learner who will be able to take on tasks with minimal supervisionDesire to grow and develop both professionally and personallyStrong written and oral communication skillsResponsibilities
This role will report to the Accounting Director and gain accounting exposure for corporate accounting and real estate investmentsResponsibilities include maintaining and supporting the general ledger, recording revenue, accruing expensesReview monthly accounts prepared by managers, manage bank loans, monthly repayments, and cash flow managementPartner with business operators to support the effective management of the assetsPrepare and review standard and complex journal entries, consolidation statements, and balance sheet reconciliationsMonitor prepaid expenses and reconcile general ledger accountsEvaluate accounting models and calculation methodologiesPrepare the investor reporting on a quarterly basisVaco is partnered with a real estate investment firm looking to hire an experienced general ledger accountant.
