About the role:

We're on the lookout for a dedicated Accountant with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to delivering top-notch customer service. In this position, you'll be responsible for the payables process and recording accounting transactions, conducting balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis as needed. We are looking for someone who has strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, thrives on process improvement, and enjoys working in a challenging, fast-paced environment to support our growth.

This role will report directly to the CFO.

This is a hybrid role; you’ll be working 1-2 days a week from our office in Palo Alto.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for full cycle accounts payable, resolving invoice discrepancies, and maintaining vendor records.Monitor and manage the accounts payable inbox for invoices, statements, and vendor correspondence.Reconcile credit card statements and code expenses to the appropriate account and department.Process all employees' expense reports in Expensify.Perform and prepare various reconciliations and analysis as part of the month-end close process, including those related to bank activity, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and other assets and liabilities (as assigned).Ensure compliance with payment terms and obligations.Oversee the company's accounting functions, including APs, ARs, cash collections, and payroll.In charge of year-end 1099 processing.Ensure compliance with US GAAP and financial regulations.Assist in tax planning to minimize the company's tax liability.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.Participate in special financial projects, such as fundraising efforts, M&A, or expansion plans.Preparation for financial due diligence.Managing financial audits by external auditors.Address audit findings and implement necessary improvements.Implement and maintain effective financial systems, processes, and internal controls.Continuously improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.At least 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.Experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks - must; Salesforce - preferred but not required.Reporting to the SEC - preferred.Experience with SOX and internal controls.High proficiency in Excel.Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to think outside the box.Strong communicator with the ability to clearly convey complicated information to a wide range of audiences.Strong project management skills and ability to juggle different tasks.Experience working with global companies.Experience working in a startup environment - preferred.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $115,000.#J-18808-Ljbffr
