We seek a Financial Analyst to help strengthen the impact of our work and mission.Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in the organization’s growth by providing broad-based collaboration with our Grants and Programs team in support of our strategic initiative to drive greater excellence and effectiveness in our organization while also supporting our internal accounting and finance units. The Finance Planning and Analysis Department manages the planning and forecasting process through insightful analyses and information to enhance overall company decision making and profitability.An ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and execute the coordination of multiple projects within required timeframes and expectations; demonstrated excellence in communication skills; be able to inform both orally and in writing; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Demonstrate the ability to perform detail-oriented tasks; interact, coordinate, follow up, and effectively communicate with Finance team members and other departments.This is an opportunity to join an ambitious institution and team committed to the cause of our time. Support the decision-making process by delivering accurate and timely data, analysis, and recommendations.Support the FP&A Leader through collaboration with accounting on the month-end close process and related analysis as needed.Assist in comparing actual results to budget/forecast and work with NED Vice-Presidents to understand variance drivers.Develop and maintain status reporting processes.Analyze GL account data for anomalies, discrepancies and variances.Organize plans, develop detail tasks and timelines and manage delivery against schedules for assigned projects.Forecast weekly cash balances.Support the creation of presentations and responses to inquiries from various stakeholders.Monitor KPI and identify the cause of any unexpected variances.Ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by FP&A Leader and CFO.The level of responsibility and independence in assigned tasks will increase with experience.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required.4+ years of relevant experience.Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with other analytical software.Strong strategic, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment.Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions, work collaboratively and become a sought-out business partner.Internal drive to finish work by deadlines (self-motivated).Excellent attention to detail.Able to coordinate across multiple projects effectively.Passion for driving and delivering results (action-oriented) and delivering constructive change.Authorized to work in the United States.This position is part of the NED Bargaining Unit.
