Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) - TSXcelerate Solutions is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) Grade 6 to support a full range of background investigation (BI) and adjudications support services to comply with Executive Orders (EO), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEAD), Federal Investigative Standards (FSI), and agency policies. You will serve as a knowledgeable and experienced PSS to assist the Agency Personnel Security Program Managers (PSPM) in performing BIs and adjudication case work in support of security and suitability investigations and adjudications and other assigned security-related activities. Washington, DC/ Huntsville, ALResponsibilities:Perform complex, high-risk, insider threat, high-level security investigations and adjudication recommendations.Act as contractor Team Lead.Conduct Quality Control (QC) case reviews and identify additional training requirements.Provide Just-in-Time training to remedy identified QC deficiencies.Develop manuals, forms, and instructions for the Agency Security Program.Conduct exhaustive checks in accordance with the FISs, Federal guidelines, policies, and procedures.Analyze Agency Investigative files to extract identifying information and detect misrepresentations.Conduct critical analysis of incoming material regarding security concerns.Provide on-the-job training and guidance to lower-grade specialists.Support the administration of the FBI Security Program.Prepare in-depth summaries of data and compose necessary correspondence.Coordinate with FBI Divisions on foreign nexus concerns.Evaluate reports of investigations and recommend suitability/security determinations.Recommend security clearance actions based on investigation results.Correlate investigative activity and identify undesirable trends.Advise on follow-on actions and conduct security briefings as required.Ensure compliance with FBI policies and legal requirements.Minimum Requirements:Ten (10) plus years of Federal LE experience.Seven (7) years of experience in personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field.Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.Thorough knowledge of indices systems and record check processes.Demonstrated analytical ability.Eight (8) plus years of experience in Federal LE or ten (10) plus years in personnel security.Technical training/certification as an investigator or adjudicator is required.Current Top Secret (TS) security clearance.Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing and writing Reports of Investigation.Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.Experience with Federal LE and IC IT systems for record checks.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in any field of study.Detailed knowledge of the FBI Security Program.Experience in conducting sensitive, complex security investigations.About Xcelerate Solutions:Founded in 2009 and headquartered in McLean, VA, Xcelerate Solutions is one of America's fastest-growing companies.
