Position Title:Regional Credit Officer

Business Unit:Credit

Reports To:Chief Credit Officer and Lending Support and Special Lending Group Executive

Position Overview:This position is primarily responsible for the oversight and direction of an entire assigned lending territory including origination, development, and maintenance of profitable business relationships, developing, implementing, interpreting, and maintaining lending policies and procedures, and ensuring all lending programs comply with federal and state regulations as well as Bank policy. The incumbent is part of the senior management team and participates in the Bank's overall management and planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides loan underwriting and structuring guidance and support for an assigned lending region.

Reviews underwriting requests for compliance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.

Provides credit approval for requests within defined lending authority that meet the Bank's underwriting standards and lending objectives.

Supports the Bank's established lending goals while maintaining desired asset quality levels.

Assists with the mentoring, guidance, and support of assigned lending team, including mentoring credit analysts with difficult credit underwriting issues.

Assists lending staff in identifying appropriate risk ratings and managing criticized assets.

Monitors loan exception items for assigned regions and works with lending team to resolve.

Monitors regional credit quality issues such as delinquency.

Participates as a member of the SACC for respective regional credits.

Assists with review, analysis, and integration of acquisition opportunities.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Education:BA or BS

Minimum Years Experience:10

MS Word - Basic Level

MS Excel - Intermediate Level

MS PowerPoint - Basic Level

MBA preferred

Experience in banking, finance, or a related field

Knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance issues preferred
