That's why we offer specialized training and a mentorship program that is tailored specifically to the needs of the Data Operations team.As a Data Engineer, you will work across a global team of analysts and data operation associates to develop new data technologies for Data Operations at PitchBook. We’re looking for a person who can combine proficiency in data engineering technologies (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) with an operational mindset and deliver powerful new data processing tools to the team. You will also spend time learning PitchBook’s data operations processes and methodologies, establishing the process knowledge necessary to develop effective data solutions.Primary Job Responsibilities:

Develop data pipelines that automate data sourcing and processingDevelop programs to synchronize technology and human-powered processesDesign and maintain database and data warehousing solutionsDevelop automated reports to monitor and track data pipelines (Power BI, Tableau)Work alongside Data Operations teams to augment core technologiesServe as a data and engineering SME on cross-functional Data Operations initiativesSkills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields2+ years of relevant experience working experience as a Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, and/or Data AnalystAdvanced SQL skills, with experience querying large datasets from multiple sources and developing automated reportingIntermediate Python skills with experience in scripting, web scraping, optical character recognition, data manipulation, and extract, transform, and loadKnowledge of statistical methods and regression analysisProficiency in Tableau or Power BI (both is a plus)Excellent Microsoft Office/PC skills and advanced Excel experience analyzing data and creating daily, weekly, and monthly reportsAbility to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise mannerCapable of investigating, familiarizing, and mastering new data sets quicklyExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customersBenefits + Compensation at PitchBook:

Annual base salary: $90,800-$130,000Target annual bonus percentage: 10%*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.Working Conditions:

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.Life At PB:
