This role will bring together groups from different organizations and divisions to deliver client experience insights holistically with a client-first mindset. They will lead the distillation of advisor journey data, assess trends, and develop actionable client experience insights and recommendations supporting FAS Marketing’s strategic business initiatives.In partnership with the Financial Advisor Services Organization (FAS), Vanguard's Chief Data and Analytics Office is embarking on a critical transformation to reimagine how data and analytics drive Vanguard FAS's vision of being the Advisor to the Advisor.Vanguard's FAS business provides services and investment products, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), to advisor clients, including broker-dealers, registered investment advisors (RIAs), and bank wealth managers.Our vision is to deliver data-driven solutions and insights that inform every decision and enable us to know our clients and anticipate their needs - to provide the right products and services at the right time. Data and analytics are at the heart of activating this vision, enabling us to enhance the advisor and distribution experience, streamline operations, and expand our suite of products and services.In this role you will:

Engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Bring structure to business requests, translate requirements into an analytical project approach, and lead complex projects through completion. Delegate tasks and provide tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serve as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.Lead the acquisition and compilation of structured and unstructured data and verify its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness. Lead the development of data quality standards and the tools and methods used to measure and improve data quality.Perform analyses of data from multiple sources to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validate analytical techniques employed by other analysts.Prepare and deliver expert-level white papers and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for senior leader stakeholders to implement.Develop recommendations for recurring analytic or reporting processes. Demonstrate expertise in financial markets and products.Develop the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching, and connecting others with resources and training. Stay abreast of emerging trends in the industry and external best practices. Participate and present during scheduled analytics seminars.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.What it takes:

Minimum of eight years of related work experience.Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree or professional qualifications preferred.Expert level skills in the following suite of data analysis tools: Data Extraction languages such as SQL. Proficiency with relational databases or Big Data platforms, Data Analysis packages (Python, R, SAS etc.) and Data Visualization packages (Tableau, etc.).Extraordinary analytical skills, coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources. The ability to understand data, process it, extract value from it, visualize it, and communicate insights to audiences of various backgrounds, including senior management.Significant experience with advanced statistical and machine-learning methods such as: regression models, propensity models, segmentation, optimization, experimental test design, time series analysis, cohort analysis, Bayesian methods, decision trees, text analysis, etc.Special Factors
