Our ideal candidates embrace diverse thinking, enjoy partnering with others and are seeking to make a difference!We are currently searching for a new, full-time member for our team for the position of:Cloud Engineer (Senior)**U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED**Job Description:Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions based on industry best practices, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud-based solutions.Assist in the develop and implement cloud architecture strategies, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness.Configure and manage cloud services, such as virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, databases, and identity and access management.Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications, implement automated monitoring and alerting systems, and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance.Implement security measures and best practices to protect cloud resources, data, and applications from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and breaches.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools like Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management frameworks.Optimize cloud resources and costs by monitoring usage patterns, rightsizing instances, and implementing cost-saving strategies.Conduct performance analysis and optimization of cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and make recommendations for their adoption in the organization.Collaborate with IT teams to define and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems.Provide technical guidance, support, and training to internal teams on cloud-related technologies and services.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience as a cloud engineer or a similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services.In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.Public Trust ClearancePreferred Additional experience:PowerBIGitHubAgileMigration to cloudPhysical to virtual conversionsApplicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
