Software Engineer II

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESWe are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and distributing mission software, firmware, and products rapidly along with block cycle updates to existing software applications, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about software engineering and thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.5-10 years of related experience.Strong proficiency in software development languages, including C#, .Net, and Python.Extensive experience with front-end development, preferably with Angular.US Citizen with US DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Security Clearance.PREFERRED SKILLSExperience with software architecture, interfacing, and communications.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as RS-232/422/423/485, SPI, I²C, USB, MIL-STD-1553.Familiarity with Open API standards.ADDITIONAL NOTESIntellectually agile.Ability to be a team player.Initiative.Applicants selected will be United States citizens subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer including Disabled/Vets.
