Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics and sports equipment.Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:The Financial Analyst II is a mid-level position and is responsible for financial and project management activities related to in-depth financial analysis. This position is responsible for project-level budgeting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis, spending and financial reporting. The Analyst will interface with a variety of departments to compile data and analyze the financial viability of various new products, promotions, and initiatives. This function acts as the analytical engine of the Finance team to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.Please note roles and responsibilities are subject to change with or without advanced notice.MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:Prepare, and coordinate the Company’s annual business plan and forecasts, including collecting and analyzing, consolidating, reviewing, and presenting financial data.Research, analysis, and maintenance of all elements for financial reporting.Review and prepare customer profitability analysis for new and existing accounts.Evaluate and create analysis of overall company sales, margins and operating expenses.Actively involved in accounting transactions, preparing journal entries and reconciliation.Maintain and update key weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including variance and trending analysis.Analyze actual results and draft/prepare Company’s MD&A and review of supporting schedules.Develop financial models for in-depth analysis when needed.Assess forecasts, budgets and long-range plans.Implement and maintain better financial analysis, reporting and inquiry tools.Recommend areas of improvement in financial operations of the business, and assisting with cash flow modeling, pricing analysis, and various inventory analysis.Support in analysis required in connection with acquisitions and other profit enhancing or investment projects.Create and implement metrics to track and analyze CapEx spending, working with project owner updating CIP and R&D projects progress, and perform appropriate accounting treatment according to company policy.Responsible to maintain and reconcile monthly OpEx accrual.Perform month-end closing tasks.Respond to requests for financial information and analysis.EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field required.More than 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.Solid knowledge of accounting concepts and FP&A systems for forecasting/budgeting.Demonstrated experience driving FP&A for the entire company; including revenue, standard margins, manufacturing variances, department expenses, and monthly accruals.Experience forecasting company-level balance sheet preferred.Experience designing and implementing management dashboards preferred.Experience with FP&A systems for forecasting/budgeting – Cognos experience preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced environment, manufacturing or composite environment preferred.Knowledge working in Microsoft Dynamics AX, D365, and Power BI is preferred.Strong computer skills, including advanced MS Excel skills, accounting software, 10 key by touch preferred.Able to deal sensitively with confidential material and information.Positive can-do attitude, highest standard of accuracy, detail oriented.Excellent organizational skills.Strong analytical skills, creative and critical thinking ability.Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company.Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) in English.Be able to meet tight deadlines, willingness to work extended hours as needed.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.SALARY:
