We bring a wide range of knowledge and experience, with members of our team speaking English and Spanish.Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate AssociateWe are a boutique firm located in San Mateo seeking to fill an Associate position for an attorney specializing in estate planning, trust and probate administration. The ideal candidate for this role must
have at least 4 years
of experience in the mentioned areas of law. As a small-sized firm, we are interested in hiring someone that can collaborate with others and also handle their own caseload independently. The candidate must be hard-working with a strong work ethic and is motivated to bring in their own clients.Candidate QualificationsMust be an active member of the California Bar in good standing. Must have passed the bar on the 1st attempt.Must have at least 4 years of experience or more in estate planning, trust administration & probate.Able to handle their own caseload with no supervision and motivated for self-growth.Able to think outside of the box and have a commonsense approach to create solutions and plans for clients.Cultivate trust with clients and can engage in teamwork within the office.Display attention to details, excellent advocacy, analytical and writing skills.Able to handle stressful situations calmly and logically.Motivated to stay on top of new developments of the law.Job DescriptionPrepare estate plans for clients of modest to sizeable estates.Counsel and advise clients handling trust administration and probates.Work with CPAs and financial advisors for trust administration and probate matters.Be knowledgeable of the current property tax rules passed from the California Board of Equalization.Some experience in corporate law is a plus.SkillsReliable, excellent time management skills; good people skills.Be knowledgeable about and able to review tax returns and estate tax returns.Must be proficient with computing skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Zoom).Must have excellent writing, strong interpersonal and communication skills.Able to sit for extended periods of time while working.Able to drive to client worksites (valid CA driver's license).Bilingual candidates are a plus.Ability To Commute/relocateSan Mateo, CA 94402: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).License/CertificationBar (Preferred).Work Location: In person. After 6 months can work from home 2 days.
