Why Jerry?Join a pre-IPO startup with capital, traction and runway ($240M funded | 40X revenue growth in 4 years | $2T market size)Report directly to our founder/CEO, Art Agrawal (2x Y-Combinator alum, 3x founder)Opportunity to 2x our insurance revenue by the end of this year and take us from 5M to 50M users by 2030Come lead a team of ~15 extremely talented product managersWork closely with seasoned peers who have scaled companies like Robinhood, Better, Amazon, Wayfair, SoFi, Nvidia, GEICO, etc.About the opportunity:At Jerry, we are building the first AllCar super app to help people optimize all aspects of owning a car – insurance, buy/sell, registration, loans, safety, repairs, parking, etc – an essential expense that costs the average person more than 20% of their gross income every year, or a $2T market in the U.S. We started with insurance in 2019, and since then we’ve launched loan refinancing, safety through real-time driving insights, a repair marketplace, GP4-powered chatbot, and the first real-time telematics-based insurance marketplace in the U.S.Unlike any other insurance aggregator on the market, we don’t generate leads or monetize our customers’ information, we transact on their behalf and own the relationship end-to-end. Our revenue has grown 40X since 2019, driven primarily by recurring revenue from our core insurance business. As we get closer to being the first, truly connected ecosystem for car owners, we are ready to bring on our first VP of Product to scale our core insurance marketplace. Reporting directly to our founder/CEO, Art Agrawal, you will lead a team of extremely talented product managers, 2X our insurance revenue by the end of this year, and take us from 5M to 50M users by 2030.How you will make an impact:Lead and develop a team of product managers (currently ~15) across insurance mobile app, telematics, chatbot, pricing and bind automation, notifications, and ML-based risk selectionContinuously raise the bar on our talent density by recruiting stellar talent and ensuring our product managers never stop learning and growing under your leadershipSet and execute on ambitious goals for our core insurance marketplace teams to ensure we are scaling our insurance revenue at least 50% every yearBuild the best insurance risk selection capability on the market today to continue helping our insurance carrier partners grow profitablySet best-in-class guiding principles for the product team including forming the right hypotheses, writing very high quality PRDs/specs, conducting effective user interviews, prioritizing and executing on the right things, etc.Drive disciplined research efforts to uncover our customer needs and ensure we are solving the right problems in the right waysRuthlessly monitor and analyze our product and business metrics, and incorporate new learnings back into our product development processWho you are:Craftsman: Although you are exceptional at what you do, you remain hungry, curious, and committed to mastering your craft.Achiever: You set a very high bar for yourself and for your team, and you are always raising that bar.Meticulous: You pay attention to the details because you understand that the little things are what separate good from great.Ownership: You think and act like your name is on the door.Analytical: You are rigorous about data-driven insights and can leverage data to find opportunities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience scaling a consumer-facing product (mobile or web) and running a meaningful part of the business ($xxMM+ in annual revenue)Track record of building high-performing product teams, ideally sizeable and multidisciplinary (inclusive of product managers, analysts, product ops, designers, or researchers)
