As the Principal Data Scientist for Consumer Data Science at Gap Inc, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing sophisticated data science solutions in the consumer space. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive the development of advanced analytical models to enhance our understanding of consumer behavior.What You'll Do

Advanced Analytics:Design, develop, and implement advanced analytical models to analyze large-scale consumer data sets.Apply statistical techniques, machine learning, and data mining to extract meaningful insights and patterns.Consumer Behavior Analysis:Lead efforts to understand and model consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.Utilize predictive modeling to forecast consumer behavior and optimize business strategies.Customer and Marketing Science Models:Develop marketing science models such as attribution, content scoring, etc.Optimize ROAS using advanced statistical models.Develop customer models such as Lifetime Value, Propensity, Engagement, etc.Model Deployment:Work closely with engineering teams to deploy machine learning models into production environments.Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed models, implementing improvements as needed.Experimentation and Causal Inference:Strong causal inference experience. Ability to implement causal inference models at scale.Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on experimentation results.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to align data science initiatives with business goals.Communicate technical concepts and insights effectively to non-technical audiences.Who You Are

Proven experience in consumer-focused data science roles with a strong technical emphasis.Expertise in Economics, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.Strong knowledge of data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).Benefits at Gap Inc.

$196,800 - $260,800 USDEmployee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
