At 1910 Genetics, we put computation at the heart of drug discovery, blending expertise in computational chemistry, structural biology, pharmacology, genetics, data science, and software engineering to develop drugs for previously undruggable targets.The Sr./Exec. Director of Business Development at 1910 Genetics will be an important member of the team to drive our partnering strategy. Based in the United States, you will be a part of a team who is passionate about the transforming experience that AI can bring to drug discovery.Essential Job Functions:Collect market, business and technical information to develop business insights on partners and competitors.Responsible for scouting key partners/customers, contacts and manage outreach as well as inbound reach to secure face-to-face meetings for formal sales pitch presentations.Assist CEO and CBO on key conference management, build and adapt the sales pitch, to drive sales strategies, non-confidentiality discussions and deal execution.Maintain meticulous sales pipeline (CRM), and meeting records to provide timely updates to senior management.Negotiate Term-sheet, manage Due Diligence process to get the right expertise needed.Able to travel 20% to 40% of the time.Qualifications:PhD a must with an undergraduate degree in biology, medicinal chemistry or related field.7-10 years in early drug discovery and development process.3-5 years of successful search and evaluation business development track record.A solid out-licensing, collaboration and/or service deal track record is required with industry rolodex.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English.Hard working, energetic, flexible, agile and ability to learn on the fly.Willing to adapt to a fast-paced working environment with a sense of urgency.Strong people skills. A strong team player who is willing to mentor other junior members.Able to work independently.
